The Kremlin has reacted to the Western alliance’s most recent commitments to increase military support for Kiev, saying they show how hostile the US-led NATO military alliance is against Russia and how deeply involved it is in the conflict in Ukraine.
“NATO is an organisation which is hostile to us and which proves this hostility every day,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“It is trying its best to make its involvement in the conflict around Ukraine as clear as possible.”
Moscow asserts that NATO nations’ shipments of weaponry to Ukraine are prolonging the conflict and increasing the likelihood of a further escalation. Deliveries of cutting-edge military equipment, according to Kyiv and the West, are essential to enabling Ukraine defend itself against Russia’s attack.
