The Ukrainian military’s National Resistance Center says Russian-installed officials in the occupied parts of southern Ukraine are preparing to carry out a military mobilization in the region.
“The Russians are currently forming a system of military registration of conscripts, from among the residents. That is, the occupiers created so-called ‘federal commissariats’ in occupied parts of Kherson and Zaporizhia regions,” the centre’s officials said in a statement.
The centre added that Russian officials are making announcements on the Telegram messaging app regarding the conditions for military conscription in southern Ukraine and local residents “regularly receive summons with demands” to appear at the local administration centre controlled by Russian-installed officials for “military registration”.
