As he appealed for peace negotiations on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that the war in Ukraine will affect Russia for centuries.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, “The time has come to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine. Otherwise, Russia’s costs will be so high that you will not be able to rise again for several generations.”
“It is time to talk,” he said, calling for peace negotiations.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s appeal came as Russian soldiers strengthened their grip on Mariupol, a city in southern Ukraine that has been bombarded.
