Russian Troops Make An Advance On Port City of Mariupol

Battle has erupted on numerous fronts in Ukraine, including severe fighting in the beleaguered port city of Mariupol, which has seen some of the war’s worst atrocities.

According to Ukrainian officials, the Russians are vying for control of one of Europe’s largest steel factories.

The city has been “a humanitarian catastrophe,” according to one local cop.

Up over night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky blamed the Kremlin of causing “a humanitarian catastrophe,” but he also requested that Russian President Vladimir Putin engage him in direct negotiations.

According to an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, Ukrainian soldiers were losing control of the vital Azovstal steel complex, which is now damaged and highly contested.

Vadym Denysenko remarked on national television, “We have lost this economic giant. In fact, one of the largest metallurgical plants in Europe is actually being destroyed.”
