A 21-year-old Level 200 student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was murdered, according to police in the Ashanti Region.
Around 5:20 p.m. on Friday evening, the deceased’s corpse was discovered at Sewuah, New Site (off-Campus).
ASP Godwin Ahianyo, the Ashanti Regional Police PRO, informed William Evans-Nkum, “Twenty-five-year-old Emmanuel Boateng, a tailor apprentice, has been arrested and is assisting police investigation.”
On a Sunday afternoon, the mood in the deceased’s family home was somber.
“My son was killed because of his phone,” a tearful father, Yaw Adugyamfi, told William Evans-Nkum of Media General.

Kwaku Adugyamfi was the deceased’s name, and he was a Biological Science student at the institution.
